For over a decade, I have worked as a multimedia journalist, producer, and manager to project urgent human rights issues and breakthroughs into public conversation. I have produced interactive web documentaries, infographics, social media campaigns, websites, exhibitions, and an interactive learning database on international criminal law. I have the capacity to bring high-impact stories to life using photography, videography, 360-degree interactives, and web design--from project design to planning, production, post-production, and digital or installation-based release. I am committed and experienced in making my work accessible across disabilities and languages. This experience has prepared me to manage highly-skilled interdisciplinary teams producing creative content for a wide range of audiences globally, and within Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States. Working alongside frontline human rights defenders in crises, I have imbibed rigorous ethical standards to ensure confidentiality, data security, transparency and accountability to partners, impacted communities, my teams and subjects. As a multimedia manager, I have built specialised expertise in bringing together world-class designers, coders, and multimedia producers into interdisciplinary collaboration with lawyers, human rights activists, academics, and government officials.I have built a breadth and depth of experience across human rights issues--from policing, forced labor, and maternal health to disaster response, and access to justice under international criminal law. I can work solo and in large teams. Over the last decade, I have intentionally maintained the flexibility of a freelance producer, with the ability to bring together collaborators by founding HELM Social Design Studio and Firefly Multimedia. At HELM (Hands-on Education, Law and Media), we partner with human rights visionaries to amplify their work by using a co-constructed design process that brings together the expertise of human rights defenders, using our in-house competencies in research, design, media, technology, law and human rights.
